Sweet Rice Bread

Ingredients

Puttu flour or Idiyappam flour – 1 cup

Sugar – 3 tablespoons or as per your taste

Grated coconut – 2 tablespoons

Salt – ½ teaspoon or as per your taste

Water – ¼ cup

Ghee - 1 tablespoon

Method

Take a bowl, add rice flour, salt, sugar, grated coconut and mix them.

Slowly add in water and kneed it into smooth dough. (It should not be too watery, if you find it watery add some rice flour.)

Make small lemon sized balls of dough

Take each ball and flatten it using damp hands to make rounds.

Heat dosa pan on low flame, apply some ghee in the pan and cook the rice breads until light brown on low flame. Turnover and cook on the other side.

Remove from the heat and serve.

These rice flour breads remind me of my childhood days too ! My Grandma used to make these for us when we were kids ! Hopefully we should pass on such traditional family foods to our kids as well :) Thank you Jemini for sending it to Healthy Morsels-Baby and Toddler Foods :)
